Our Editorial Mission
Trucking Record is committed to democratizing access to federal transportation safety data. Our editorial mission is to present accurate, unbiased, and actionable information that empowers users to make informed decisions about motor carrier safety.

Proprietary Analysis Methodology
In addition to raw federal data, Trucking Record provides proprietary analysis tools including the Trucking Record Safety Score. Our methodology:
- Is documented and transparent (see our About page)
- Is clearly labeled as our own analysis, not official government ratings
- Uses consistent algorithms applied equally to all carriers
- Is not influenced by advertising or commercial relationships
Important: Our proprietary Safety Score is designed to help users interpret complex federal data. It is not an official rating and should be used in conjunction with verification from official FMCSA sources.
Corrections & Updates Policy
We are committed to accuracy and will promptly correct errors:
Correction Process
- 1. Report: Errors can be reported via contact@truckingrecord.com
- 2. Verify: We investigate all reported inaccuracies against source data
- 3. Correct: Verified errors are corrected with clear notation
- 4. Notify: Significant corrections are noted with date and description
